St. Michael's Events

Sunday  Masses will be live streamed on Sunday morning at 9 am. Please go to St. Michael’s Facebook page St. Michael’s church to watch this live Mass.

Mass Cancellation

As the Diocese of Green Bay continues to monitor health statistics and given the order that the Menominee Tribe is restricting places of worship to live stream services only on the Menominee Reservation until September 28, Catholic Masses at St. Michael Parish in Keshena and St. Anthony Parish in Neopit are cancelled until that date. In light of this announcement, Bishop David Ricken of the Diocese of Green Bay is dispensing the members of these two parishes from their Sunday obligation until September 28. Masses will be livestreamed from St. Michael’s in Keshena at 9 am on Sunday, September 20 and 27th and can be accessed at St. Michael’s Church Facebook page.

The purpose of this closure is to promote social distancing, limit community spread of COVID 19, and purposely restrict the travel of community members to stop the spread.

Fr. Luke Ferris
Vicar for Clergy and Pastoral Leaders

Diocese of Green Bay

August, 2020

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Due to the current situation, St. Michael’s Faith Formation classes will not be starting this September.  It is our believe that “Parents/guardians are their children’s primary and principal educators”, this guideline and philosophy of the Bishops’ of the United States is our motivation.

We are sending packets to help teach children about God’s love and our Catholic faith.  Every month we will send out a month’s worth of weekly lessons that go along with the Gospel reading of the week with other teaching materials about the traditions of our Catholic faith.

If you wish to have the packets sent to your home, please fill out the form below and send it to ltucker@frontiernet.net or dropout off at the St. Michael’s parish office.

After you receive the packet we would like to know any thoughts you have about the packet and what is working for you and what we could do to improve them.

God bless and stay safe,

Kathy Tucker, Director of Faith Formation

St. Kateri Tekakwitha Prayer Group

We promote the life and spirituality of St. Kateri Tekakwitha as she journeyed toward holiness and obedience.  We honor her as the patron Saint of all Native American Tribes and ask her to pray for and protect the Menominee Tribe.

WHO ARE WE? We are a group of women who meet  Thursday morning after 8 a.m. mass.  We gather together to honor and pray to St. Kateri for her guidance and intercession for various needs in the community.  We also have a social hour and snacks after our prayer session which gives us time to socialize and share ideas. Feel free to join us at mass and come to the meeting and social hour afterward. NEW MEMBERS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME.

WHAT ELSE DO WE DO? At the request of a family, the Kateri Prayer Group will come to their homes, or go to the hospital or nursing homes to pray for their loved ones who are ill.  At the family’s request, we will also go to a wake service/visitation and say the Rosary for a loved one whose soul has already started their journey to the Great Spirit. Through prayer we want to bring families peace and hope during their time of grief.

If you have a need for prayers, you can contact one of the following people.  They will contact the St. Kateri Tekakwitha Prayer Group with your prayer request:
