Dear Young,
Your life is changing! Everything you know is churning and turning and burning a new tail and you’re doing your best to keep up with it.
Your friends are strange and wonderful in the ways they act and the things they do. Some of them shape your thinking, some help you grow. Some friends just keep you puzzled. Like it or not, friends guide you in great ways or they influence you in goofy ways. The good news is that you’re in the game, giving life your best shot. You’re in it because there’s a lot more up ahead.
You’re setting a new course…growing up, maybe driving a car, perhaps dating or loved listening music that inspires you most because you find meaning in those beautiful lyrics and melodies as a way of going away from loneliness and other negative feelings. Or maybe you are in a stage of setting a future goal, thinking about what you want to become, discovering some boundaries, taking some risks and it’s all good. What makes it better is that YOU HAVE EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO NAVIGATE THE WATERS AHEAD. You are surrounded by people who care about you.
Even more, you are a teenager in the hands of God of the Universe. YOU ARE FORMED AND SHAPED BY HIS HAND and YOU ARE BLESSED and KNOWN and LOVED right where you stand.
Dear parents, please continue to invite your children to appreciate prayer life and a personal encounter with Jesus, the Way, the Truth and the Life.
God bless.

TO THE PARENTS OF OUR YOUNG CHILDREN, MAY WE SUGGEST…
Relax! God put the wiggle in children: don’t feel that you have to suppress it in God’s House. All are welcome! Sit toward the front where it is easier for your little ones to see and hear what’s going on at the altar. They tire of seeing the backs of others’ heads. Quietly explain the parts of the Mass and actions of the priest, altar servers, musicians, etc. Sing the hymns, pray and voice the responses. Children learn liturgical behavior by copying you. If you have to leave Mass with your child, feel free to do so, but please come back. As Jesus said, “Let the children come to Me.” Remember that the way we welcome children in church directly affects the way they respond to the Church, to God, and to one another. Let them know that they are to be reverent in this House of Worship.
TO THE MEMBERS OF OUR PARISH…
The presence of children is a gift to the Church and they are a reminder that our parish is growing. Please welcome our children and give a smile of encouragement to their parents.

It’s time to “GROW A ROW” AND “SHARE THE BOUNTY”! These programs are hunger prevention programs which allow gardeners to bring their excess produce to drop off sites where it is distributed to families and individuals who can use it. There is no paper work for the recipient. It is a “win-win” situation because recipients get healthy food and gardeners know their produce will not be wasted. Drop off is 1st & 3rd Monday – 11 am to 1 pm and 1st & 3rd Tuesday 11 am – 2 pm. Pick up is 1st & 3rd Tuesday of the month, 1-3 pm. This is for St. Michael’s Food Pantry.
