Anamehawikamek Welcome

We are a Christian community called together to grow in faith and to celebrate God’s love for us in the Mass and Sacraments of the Catholic Church.  Through the gospel message and our common worship we are challenged to give Christian witness by our lives and service to others.

  A Note From Your Deacon:

The theme for this 3rd Sunday of Easter is “Encounter,” based on the familiar “Road to Emmaus” gospel reading from Luke. The sad and downcast disciples, walking on the road to Emmaus, experienced an encounter with the Risen Christ.  Through their walking and talking with Jesus, they became refreshed and their hearts, once full of sorrow and sadness, become alive and burning with fire.  A true encounter with our Lord does not leave us unchanged.  Darkness and despair cannot put out the Light and Life of Christ. In Jesus’ encounter with the disciples, their hearts once again become full of hope.  Hope is a precious gift and it is hope that helps a person not quit on life or despair in a very difficult situation.  What does hope look like?  Emily Dickenson, an American poet, describes it as a bird that perches in the soul and never stops singing at all.  I would say that hope is found at mercy’s ground- and with the soil of faith, cannot help but grow.  May our hearts have renewed hope this Easter season as we encounter the Risen Savior on the dusty roads we travel!

Upon Further Reflection:

After a church service on Sunday morning, a young boy suddenly announced to his mother, “Mom, I’ve decide to become a priest when I grow up.”

“That’s OK with us,” she said, “but  what made you decide that?”

“Well,” said the little boy, “I have to go to church on Sunday anyway, and I figure it will be more fun to stand up and yell than to sit down and listen.”

Deacon Mark

Wow! Can you believe we only have ONE class left for the 2016-2017 faith formation year. We are planning for next year and need your help.  How do you want this program to progress?  We are here to help families instill our Catholic faith in our children.  How can we better serve YOU?  Let us know by filling out the form in the front of church or e-mail me at

Families of First Communicants

Just a reminder that this year each family whose children have completed their First Communion instructions will be celebrating their child’s First Communion individually. The family needs to contact Father and set up a date for their children to receive their First Communion. Call the rectory at 715-799-3811 and talk with Father Joel about what Saturday or Sunday mass you wish to celebrate this wonderful sacrament! If you have any questions about this please, be sure to call be at 715-851-2947.  If you want to have your child receive their First Communion on Mother’s Day during our May Crowning celebration, be sure to contact Father Joel and make the arrangements.

On Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 14th we are inviting all the children from the parish and visiting our parish to join in on our May Crowning of Mary during the 9 :00 am Mass.  the children will form a procession and parade up to the statue of Mary and a fresh crown of flowers will be placed on her head.  What a great way to honor Our Mother Mary! Be sure to come and join in the celebration!

God bless,

Lois Maczuzak
