PARISH MISSION STATEMENT
We are a Christian community called together to grow in faith and to celebrate God’s love for us in the Mass and Sacraments of the Catholic Church. Through the gospel message and our common worship we are challenged to give Christian witness by our lives and service to others.

The Bishop’s Appeal puts focus primarily on the life of the Catholic believers, and particularly to the young people of the church… We can support the Bishop’s Appeal by encouraging initially our own children as we bring them regularly to church and let them attend the Religious Education program, which is one of the beneficiaries of the Bishop’s Appeal. Hence, we can be more eager to hand out our help for the spiritual growth of our children; the future of the Church.
Again, God bless you for your generosity… Fr. Francis, mf
ENCOUNTER LENT
FAITH FORMATION UPDATE
The season of Lent starts this week. The children and their families will be attending the Ash Wednesday Mass. They will receive a “Lent to Easter Packet”. This packet is a helpful tool for the parents to explain Lent and Easter to their children. This packet also helps families to fully participate in this very special, prayful season with fun activities.
This week the children in the Religious Education classes viewed several children videos explaining Ash Wednesday and Lent. They also viewed a video about where the ashes come from for Ash Wednesday. These videos help to better explain this season to the children and why it is so important to our Catholic Faith. The children then worked on their Lenten Prayer Bag.
We only had 12 children attending this past Wednesday. Due to our low count of children participating in the Religious Education Program we are seeking your help. If you have any suggestions on how to improve our program, e-mail me at maczuzak@frontiernet.net with title of improving the program. Your ideas and suggestions are welcome!
Located in the front hall are Children Bulletins. Children Bulletins help young children to better understand the message of the Sunday’s Gospel. These bulletins are a great way for families to have a discussion about the Gospel’s message and our faith. Also there are Lenten Calendars available in the front of church.
God bless, Lois Maczuzak

Welcoming New Catholics
This Easter Season is a wonderful time to celebrate our faith and the Resurrection of our Lord. For those newly initiated into the Catholic Church, this spring also marks a milestone on their faith journey.
With help from parish-directed programs called the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA), candidates received the resources, support, and knowledge they needed to take the next step in their journey of faith. The RCIA program begins at the diocesan level, and parishes receive assistance in helping people come into full communion with the Catholic Church. With a gift to the Bishop’s Appeal, you help parishes enhance their RCIA programs and welcome future, newly formed Catholics.
To make a gift to the Bishop’s Appeal contact your parish, visit the Bishop’s Appeal website at www.catholicfoundationgb.org/give, or call Debbie toll-free at 877-500-3580, ext. 8184.
Bishop’s Appeal Testimonial:
“If anyone was wondering whether to give to the Bishop’s Appeal or not, I would urge them to consider doing so. One reason is because our God calls us outside of ourselves, outside of our local parish to the larger Church. But beyond that I would tell them the many different ways that the Bishop’s Appeal has already affected their life as a parishioner here at Ss. Peter and Paul Parish.”
— Joe Zenk, Pastoral Leader, Ss. Peter & Paul Parish, Kiel, Holy Rosary Parish, New Holstein & St. Ann Parish, St. Anna
