Happy Mother's Day

Waht is the singificance of clebrating Mother's Day?  For me, I think it's ouor obligation to pay respect (at least for once in a year, sicne we should be really doing it every day) to the "womb" that nursed us for 9 months, and has kept nursing us even when we started living the "outside world', until the day that they can ever do so.  It is also our opportunity to pay tribute to them ; remember it is also our opportutnity to pay tribute to them' remember the topys our mom gave that was prepared for us...the hugs tht wrapped us...have we ever said "thanks" for all of those )and a lot more)?

It is aso a moment tot think back all the advices and values our moms had impart and shared to us in making us a better person...I beleive in that saying-'mother jnows best'. Proverb 1:8-9 says " not forsake your mother's teaching. They are a farland to grace your head and a chain to adorn your neck."

I think this is also a perfect opportunity to apologize to our moms?  Do we still remember; every time we forgot that she is our parent in formt of our friends (sometimes we follow our friends more that our parents) ...when times that our mom had been a greatet 'objections' in some things we want...we never gave ourselves a moment to understand why they do not agree, our point is 'we want it. ..Were there times when we treated our moms ike they's just 'displays' in our house, we ignore their presnce because we hate the for some 'reasons' that don't favor us?  We've been so much preoccupied with the 'things' that were 'atteched' to us which consequently pulled us away fro the pseron whos supposed to be the one more in contact and near with us.  Sorry for every hurt I caused you mo, but my prayer is the onely easy thing I can repay for all that LOVE  I received from you.  Let us (all children in the world) then come in this simple poem-prayer (adapted from an unknow authors) for all the Mothers in the world.

There is but one and only one

Whose love will fall you never.

One who lives from sun to sun,

   With constant fond endeavor.

There is but one and only one,

On earth there is on other

In heaven a noble work was done

When God gave us a Mother.

   And So;

May the blessing of the Divine,

Be an especuakkt brght bebeductuib upon Mothers everywhere

On you belssed day-on the Mother's Day!

Fr. Francis, m.f.

The Mass – A slice at a time

The acclamation and the responses of the faithful to the Priest’s greetings and prayers constitute that level of active participation that is to be made by the assembled faithful in every form of the Mass, so that the action of the whole community may be clearly expressed and fostered.

 St Joseph Reunion

The Pastoral Council of St. Michael’s is inviting former students of St. Joseph School along with all members of the parish to attend the St. Joseph’s Reunion on Saturday, May 19th from 11 am to 3 pm. This is a good chance to visit with old friends for those who attended St. Joe’s and for people who joined St. Michael’s Parish later, this is an opportunity to learn a little about the history of our parish. We have a slide show of pictures from old times. There will be food – potluck.  We will accept free will donations to help cover our costs.  John & Linda Kaquatosh, who own a photography business, will be there to take pictures at no charge to you.  All are welcome.

Parish Cemetery – Selling of Burial Rights

Cemetery lots should be limited to one family. Should two related families own one large lot with several burial spaces, two names may be placed on the monument. Individual cemetery rules must be very clear as misunderstandings about ownership and descendancy are common.

Parish Cemetery – Selling of Burial Rights

Anyone wishing to purchase burial rights in a parish cemetery shall contact the parish office, which in turn, will contact the employee or the cemetery committee member who is in charge of selling burial rights.

It is important to note that the cemetery/parish does not sell physical property. The purchaser does not take ownership of the land on which the lots(s) are located, but rather the purchaser becomes a holder of burial right(s) in that space. A clear explanation should be included in each cemeteries own “Burial Rights Policy.”

All monies paid for burial rights shall be paid to the parish office. The monies will be credited to the specific cemetery accounts, and a receipt will be given to the purchaser, with a certificate of easement, which is a document that confirms the right(s) of burial.
