FATHER JOEL
Hello friends! Posoh!
Gratia et gaudium in fide! - Grace and Joy in Faith!
God's promise holds fast over time, place and circumstance giving us the hope of salvation. Today the whole Catholic Church celebrates the feast of the Ascension of the Lord. This feast commemorates the end of Jesus' earthly ministry, and is intimately tied in with another feast we will celebrate in just a few days: Pentecost. Last Sunday we as church of St. Michael, had just celebrated too the First Communion of our 8 kids accompanied by their loving parents, grandparents and relatives. What a wonderful manifestation of faith in this church!
This Sunday we celebrate and honor all our mothers. HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY! Oh what a blessing to have a mother like you! Amen, alleluia!!!
This afternoon we will have the sacrament of Confirmation wherein through the laying of hands of our beloved Bishop David Ricken and the anointing of the Sacred Chrism, our Confirmandi will symbolically be given especial strength of the Holy Spirit to spread and defend the faith and bear witness that is perfection of Baptismal grace and that unites them more firmly to Christ. May I invite you then, to happily thank God that through our beloved Patron Saint, St. Michael the Archangel, truly God's promise holds fast over time, place and circumstance giving us the hope of salvation by allowing us to see new generations receiving holy sacraments. Please then continue to support your and our Church with your constant participation and personal prayer for youth of today.
Co-Traveler,
Fr. Joel

Now that we are done with Faith Formation classes for the 2015-2016 session, we are planning for the 2016-2017 sessions. We are seeking parishioners who want to use their time and talents to help to enhance our young parishioners in their faith. It is easy to do and the rewards are GREAT! If you are interested or if you have questions about the program, call me and I will be happy to brag about our wonderful program! We are planning some very exciting changes to our program this year. Be sure to check us out! PARENTS, it is not too soon to start planning on your children to join us on Wednesday’s for enhancing their CATHOLIC FAITH! Enrollment forms are located in the main entrance in back of church. If you have any questions, please be sure, to call me.
Throughout the summer I will be posting fun activities for you and your children to enjoy. Have
a great summer! God bless,
Lois Maczuzak, 715-851-2947

The secretary works with the pastor to insure corporate, non-financial recordkeeping at the parish, such as corporate minutes, documents, notices and correspondence. All parish records are kept in an easily accessible and orderly fashion at the parish. The secretary trustee is a full member of the parish pastoral council and receives minutes from the finance council.

THRIFT & GIFT:
The Thrift & Gift aka Rummage Room was started in 2010 to help the community purchase gently used items at a reasonable price. It has expanded to handle furniture on a larger scale, sporting goods and on occasion, appliances. It depends solely on generous donations of loving people, not only from this community, but near and far. We are open the first and third Tuesday of the month from 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm., which is April 19th, May 3rd & May 17th. Contact Cookie Vigue if you have any questions ☎920-216-9240.
JOY CHOIR:
The JOY Choir leads the congregation in song at the Saturday evening mass. Our mission is to sing with JOY for Jesus, Others, Yourself. Approximately ten people sing in the choir led by guitarist, Ellyn Dercks. We practice one-half hour before the Mass. If you enjoy music, please consider sharing your instrumental and/or vocal talents by joining the JOY Choir. Weekly attendance is not expected as we realize people have family, work and other commitments – just sing when available. We would love to have you join us!
ST. MICHAEL’S ANGELS:
The Angels were formed to bring new lift to singing at mass, especially for young people. We welcome young people interested in singing and/or playing (or learning to play guitar).
PIANIST:
Jonathan Wilber plays every other Sunday mass with his Angels.
