A Note from Your Pastor –
John the Baptist teaches repentance for the forgiveness of sins in preparation for the coming of Jesus with the famous line: "Prepare the way of the Lord, make straight his paths." And no biblical figure announces the coming of the Lord than his forerunner, herald and cousin John. Yet, no matter how well he fits the role or how many times we picture John the Baptist in our mind, his eating honey crisped locusts and wearing a camel's hair coat make him a little too bizarre to really fit into our reality.
On account of his peculiarity, we are unlikely to connect our lives to his, or his mission to our own. He is just too strange. He belongs out in the desert. So, we isolate him in our mind. However, John the Baptist's word and mission should not seem so distant to us nor should his work be seen as one-time event rather we should be inspired to be straighteners of paths and heralds of God's presence in the world.
As we prepare especially for the coming of Jesus, let us not only be genuine and thorough in our preparation but also seek to accept our role as his heralds just like John the Baptist.
In Jesus,
Fr. Nonito
The Mass: A Slice at a time
In sacred places where the blessed Eucharist is reserved there must always be someone who is responsible for it, and as far as possible a priest is to celebrate Mass there at least twice a month. (Canon 934.2) The reservation of the Eucharist demands that Mass be celebrated in the same place at least twice a month: the very presence and adoration of Jesus Christ in the sacramental species require this, as well as the need to provide for the renewal of the sacred species within a reasonable length of time. Somebody (not necessarily a priest) should take permanent charge of the necessary care, such as clean

2nd Sunday of Advent
Prepare! A precious guest is coming—now is the time to prepare! It is a season for cleaning, houses and hearts, readying ourselves for the coming Messiah. Blow away the dust of apathy, scrub off the grim of selfish pursuits, shine the bright light of God’s Spirit in every corner, purging the sin and stain away. Make the chambers a welcoming place of warmth and hope, charity and love, forgiveness and unity. Prepare for your King – He is coming soon.

St. Michael Prayer
St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle, be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen

You may attend if you wish to do so.
