A Note from Fr. Joel
With the Solemnity of the Pentecost last Sunday
celebrated with just Live Streamed Mass and then followed by a separate distribution of the Holy Communion after was quite unique and at the same time closes the Easter Season days. Is this the so called “New Normal” now? I hope not for long. Well, to say the least, God is not sleeping; He knows what’s going on these. So, let’s try our best not to lose hope amidst trials during this pandemic. Listen, be watchful and pray! This Sunday the Church celebrates one of the central objects, focus, unfathomable faith truth of our belief, The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity. God revealed himself to Moses in our first reading, and his response to the spectacular revelation was worship prostrating himself on the ground in profound adoration. And our responsorial psalm today speaks of the superiority of God and its eternity attributes worthy to be praised in the Temple, the axis mundi or center of the universe. And in our second reading, St. Paul invites us to rejoice in the Lord finding in Him our delight. So as we continue to travel in this life, this solemnity reminds us all that God sent his Son to save us and to forgive us his adopted children. Like the Holy Trinity may we be united in peace and love through the Spirit, through whom we offer God praise and glory above all forever. Happy Trinity Sunday to all! Co-Traveler, Fr. Joel
The Mass: A Slice at a time
Reasons of necessity for Extraordinary ministers of holy communion
There must be no priest, deacon or acolyte available;
These persons (priest, deacon or acolyte) are unable to discharge the task, due to the demands of another pastoral ministry, to illness or to extreme age;
There are so many of the faithful wishing to receive communion that the celebration of the Mass would take too long.
In any case, this suppletory function cannot be exercised when there are priest present who are not impeded, even if they are not participating in the Eucharistic celebration.
Dear Parishioners of St. Michael in Keshena, St. Anthony in Neopit,
St. Francis in Gresham and St. Mary’s in Leopolis,
I wish we could be together this Sunday and I hope this finds you well. I have been praying personally and celebrating masses all by myself that God bless you and keep you safe during this difficult time. It is with a heavy heart that I am announcing that I am being transferred to another new assignment, way far from Wisconsin, California. And I am leaving on Monday, June 29. Yes, it is hard to say this without having you in these pews. I have enjoyed my 5 years of serving St. Michael’s, St. Anthony’s and St. Francis’ and 3 years of service to St. Mary’s in Leopolis. I am blest to know many good and welcoming people and also I am blest to know about various situations in each parish and so felt in love and at the same time little by little learned how to work with you all within your culture. And it will be difficult for me to leave. Just like Fr. Dave McElroy, O. Praem, who belongs to a religious community of St. Norbert or popularly known as the Norbertines, I am also a member of another religious community, the Missionaries of Faith community and so not a diocesan priest. Our local superior working in Austin Diocese, Texas, together with his council after coordinating with the Diocese of Green Bay, asked me to go to St. Philip Neri Parish, Alameda, CA, to serve the people of that parish. As a religious I serve at the will of my Superior, and I accept his decision and hope you will as well. The diocese is planning on replacing me with another Filipino priest who will join Fr. Nonito, in my place as parochial vicar for the 4 parishes and so I hope you will be as nice to him as you were to me. Until he is able to obtain his visa, the diocese doesn’t want to give a name in case something were to happen and he isn’t able to come. We still have a month and half before I am leaving, and hopefully we can see each other in person before I go. I am praying that we will be able to have some Masses and celebrations with more than 10 or 50 people and find some other ways to say good-bye before I leave, end of June. I hope that this transition will go smoothly and I’m praying that the new priest will be well received when he comes. And so, I thank you all for the generous acceptance, deep understanding and loving patience that you all showed me these past years of my traveling with you, St. Michael’s, St. Anthony’s, St. Francis’ and St. Mary’s parishioners and my sincerest apologies for all my failures and so please forgive me for all the times I missed to meet your standard and expectations, thank you and God bless.
Fr. Joel Jores, Parochial Vicar

St. Michael Prayer
St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle, be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen

Temperature will be taken and you are encouraged to wear a mask. Masks will be available. Pews will be sectioned. Communion will be a single line only. We are happy to welcome you back to the celebration of the Mass in this limited way. See attachment to bulletin for more information.
Universal Giving Page
The Catholic Foundation is excited to share with us that they have created a Universal Giving Page at www.catholicfoundationgb.org/donate. This is a great resource for our parish as we do not have an on line giving program. It makes giving to our parish simple and easy! The Catholic Foundation will be cutting a check weekly to our parish along with a report of what families gave to the parish and the amount of each gift.
2020 FUNDRAISERS
Due to COVID-19, the 2020 fundraisers at St. Michael’s have been suspended until it is safe to resume. The Festival scheduled for June 27th has been our biggest fundraising event raising on average $10,000. We are suggesting a non-fundraiser fundraiser in lieu of this big event. You do not need to sell or buy raffle tickets, cook anything, bake anything, volunteer your time, work in the heat, set up, clean up or do dishes! We would be grateful for monetary donations to offset the loss of this source of revenue to keep our Parish solvent. Please mail or drop off donations at the Parish office or drop in the collection basket indicating it is for fundraising. Thank you for your continued support of our Parish during this time.
WELCOME! The Lord has called all of us to a new way of living under His wonderful grace as our Savior. May joy and peace be yours as we praise our Lord and grow close to God and one another. It is a pleasure to have you worshipping with us. If you are considering joining our parish, please talk with Father Nonito or Father Joel or call the Parish Office at 715-799-3811. Anyone who has not officially signed up and would like to be a registered member, please stop in the office and fill out a form. It is that easy.
Communion Service
On Sunday, June 7th you are invited to attend a communion service immediately following 9:00 am livestream Mass at St. Michael’s from 10-11 am. There will be an usher at the main entrance. Only 8 people are allowed in church at a time. The people remaining outside must use social distancing. Masks are required. Temperature will be checked and we will provide hand sanitizer. Once you enter the church, stand in front at the altar on the marked areas. Communion should be received by hand. After receiving communion, no one is allowed to remain in church. Exit by the side doors and the next group will be ushered in. Those who are 65 and older or with compromised immunity are encouraged to stay home.
There will be a Communion service at St. Anthony’s from 10:30 – 11:30 am, St. Francis Solanus 10:00 – 11:00 am and St. Mary’s 11:15 – 12:00 pm.
