Fr. Joel Writing
“You are thinking not as God does, but as human beings do.” Jesus says this to Peter who has just declared him to be the Christ. Our minds as Christians must be transformed into God’s so that we can be instruments of God’s work. Thus we need Christian formation. Nowadays, thanks to the advancement of technology, all the resources we need for Christian formation are available for us. Christian formation, first and foremost, is a personal decision and journey but it must start at home, together with our parents and with the whole family. Mom and Dad, please teach us to pray and together we live a happy, healthy and holy life. The challenge to St. Peter was to continue journeying with Jesus so that he will get Jesus right. If fathers and mothers continue together to come to Church with their children, we can have a good chance that those children will continue to go to Church when they become adults. A blessed Sunday everyone!
Co-Traveler, Fr. Joel
Memorare Prayer
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my mother. To you I come, before you I stand sinful and sorrowful. Oh Mother of the word incarnate, despite not my petitions but in your mercy, hear and answer me.
The Mass – A slice at a time
Reverence to the Altar and Greeting of the Assembled People: When they have arrived at the sanctuary, the Priest, the Deacon, and the ministers reverence the altar with the profound bow. Moreover, as an expression of veneration, the Priest and Deacon then kiss the altar itself; the Priest, if appropriate, also incenses the cross and the altar.
Lectors and Eucharistic Ministers Needed
Come help celebrate the Mass by joining us as a lector or Eucharistic minister on Saturday or Sundays.
Preparation is minimal and the rewards of this service are enriching and fulfilling. Please contact the Parish Office at St. Michaels if interested. (715) 799-3811.
Faith Formation Faith Formation will start in September, 26, 2018. Registration forms for the 2018-2019 session are available in the main entrance of church or the Parish Office. Hope to see all our former students and we welcome any new students that are interested in attending Faith Formation!
Prayer for Catechists
O God, our Heavenly Father, you have given us the gift of these catechists to be heralds of the Gospel to our parish family. We lift them up to you in thanksgiving and intercede for them concerning their hopes and needs. May we be attentive to the presence of your Word in them, a Word that lifts up and affirms, calls forth and challenges, is compassionate and consoles. We pray that our parish family will always be blessed with those who have responded to the call to share in Christ’s prophetic mission as catechists. May we too be open to the universal call to service that Christ addresses to all of his disciples, contributing our gifts to the communion of faith, the Church. We ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Kateri Prayer Circle

If you or your family members need prayers for any reason, please call one of our Kateri Prayer Circle members, who will in turn call members of their group.
