Fr. Joel Writing
When Jesus started teaching and telling his disciples about suffering he has to endure in Jerusalem and eventually be killed but then after three days be raised up to life, his disciples did not understand and at the same time were afraid to question him. These disciples joined our Lord because they were called and chosen by our Lord himself. But even though they traveled with him, listened to him, dined with and witnessed his power in words and in deeds, they still missed to know him and get him right. Still they remained to their human ambition for greatness and success in life. For our Lord Jesus Christ, the greatest among us, disciples on the way, is the last of all and the servant of all. The greatest does think he is the favorite of God. He is unassuming, he does not expect should be the leader but he serves everyone in the group. Let’s be simple and be humble then before the eyes of God and shine as guiding stars for our neighbors. Blessed Sunday everyone.
Co-Traveler, Fr. Joel
The Mass – A slice at a time
When the Entrance Chant is concluded, the Priest stands at the chair and, together with the whole gathering, signs himself with the Sign of the Cross. Then by means of the Greeting he signifies the presence of the Lord to the assembled community. By this greeting and the people’s response, the mystery of the Church gathered together is made manifest. After the greeting of the people, the Priest, or the Deacon, or a lay minister may very briefly introduce the faithful to the Mass of the day.

Thrift & Gift Furniture Garage:
We are looking for some strong individuals to help with pick up of furniture and miscellaneous household items. The current volunteers doing this job are in their 70’s and 80’s. It is getting very difficult for these volunteers to load/unload furniture. This would not be a great time commitment. When we get a call for a large pick up, a time would be set up. If you are interested in helping, please call the Parish Office at 715-799-3811.
